Introducing the Frank Stork Scholarship
The Missouri Electric Cooperatives Employees’ Credit Union (MECECU) is proud to announce the newly-created Frank Stork Student Scholarship, named in honor of Frank Stork, retired CEO of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC) and one of the Credit Union’s founding members.

Frank Stork played a pivotal role in establishing MECECU in 1975, driven by his passion for the credit union philosophy and his belief in the power of financial cooperatives to improve the lives of rural electric cooperative employees and their families. His vision for member-focused financial service has guided our mission for over 50 years.

This scholarship celebrates Frank’s enduring legacy and commitment to cooperative principles by investing in the future of our members. It’s our way of continuing his spirit of service and dedication to improving lives through opportunity and community.

CONDITIONS OF SCHOLARSHIP
1. Applicant must be a primary MECE Credit Union account owner between the ages of 16 to 25, and must be accepted or enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college or trade school. 2. The scholarship will be paid directly to the financial aid office of the school in which the applicant is enrolled, and credited to the account of the recipient. 3. Deadline (post-marked) for this application is March 1. 4. Immediate family members of MECE Credit Union Staff, MECECU Staff, Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and prior MECECU scholarship winners are not eligible to participate in the scholarship awards program.
